Józef Marian Chierowski (1927-2007)

Józef Marian Chierowski was born in Poland in 1927. He studied the interior design to the Academy of Arts of Wroclaw ( Poland) and received his diploma in 1952 before teaching it himself. He became a Department Head of design in 1976 and obtained the pulpit of interior design in 1980.
He designed many furnitures, for which he received the Design Prize Council ( 1960 ) and the prize Miastoprojekt (1974 ). In 1962, he drawn the armchair 366 which was mass-produced during all the duration of the people's republic of Poland. 
He was assigned him the project of the public Library of Wroclaw and Kalisz. Among his numerous realizations as interior designer, we also count the Department of traumatological surgery of University of Wroclaw.
