In the same vein, Philippe Starck designed several similar models for the Daum crystal factory, including this vase called Une étrangeté contre un mur in 1988, which is part of a limited series of fifty copies. At the same time, he also designed another unlimited series of smaller models. 

The designer has structured the piece of a black blown horn affixed against a glass plate that he associated by cold gluing.
