Call For Price
DESIGNER : Philippe Starck
Producer : Driade
The J armchair belongs to the Lang series with the M table. This model, as well as the series, was designed by Philippe Starck and produced by the Italian publisher Driade from 1987. Indeed, this series called "Lang" refers to the Minister of Culture Jack Lang at the time whose cultural policy, full of modernity, has contributed greatly to the development of this field, although criticism has been launched on an over-mediatization. In fact, he greatly favored the democratization of culture and sought to energize contemporary creation.
More precisely, the J armchair has similarities with the Royalton or Ed Archer chairs by a back foot in cast aluminum. More widely, Starck has often used this material in his creations. Here, this foot is associated with a black leather structure that is in good condition.
