DESIGNER : Philippe Starck

EDITEUR : Disform

Designed by Philippe Starck in 1982 and then published by Disform, the Miss Dorn chair reflects a desire to move towards a purification and simplification of forms. This is apparent in the use of black for its metal structure and leather seat, as well as in the use of geometric curves. The frame and seat are in their original state.

The choice of name for the model demonstrates Starck's taste, as he refers to a character in Philip K. Dick's science fiction novel Ubik. There are many references to this work in the designer's work.
