Ceramic "Whisky" bottle by Roger Capron

Roger Capron was a french ceramist born in 1922 in Vincennes. He was the apprentice of the decorator René Gabriel. Roger Capron decided in the forties to become a ceramist. In 1946, he opened his workshop in Vallauris with the two ceramists Robert Picault and Jean Derval.
The success that french production knew at this time, gives to Roger Capron the opportunity to grow his company. In the beginning of the fifties, he opened the « Atelier Capron », which hire fifty employees. A few years later, he knew an international success.
Nowadays, many collectors around the world are very interested in Roger Capron's works. Galleries regularly present him in Germany, Canada and United States.
He died in 2006.
