The Mediabolo chair was designed by the Nemo group, composed of François Scali and Alain Domingo. It furnished the library of the Cité des Sciences at La Villette, which was refurbished in 1986. It is a bibliographic consultation chair. It features an articulated system for writing and reading, based on the articulation of pre-stressed structures with variable inertia.

The seat and backrest are in foam covered with a “black lunar textoide”. The structure is in dark gray epoxy steel, with yellow connecting rods.
