Socialist Realism and Polish Design
After the Second World War, Poland was extremely weak economically, politically and artistically. As early as 1944, the USSR had a hold over it thanks to the Lublin Committee (Polish National Liberation Committee sitting in Lublin). This was reflected in the formation of the Polish Unified Workers Party in 1948.
