DESIGNER : Philippe Starck

Producer : 3 Suisses

The Joe Ship model is a table designed by Philippe Starck in 1982. It refers to a character in Philip K. Dick's novel Ubik. It was published in 1982 by Les 3 Suisses and XO.

It is composed of a round top supported by four legs divided into two tubular parts joined by an intermediate ball, holding the latter in place by a vice-like system. The ball is reminiscent of the furniture designed by Austrian architect Josef Hoffmann in the early 20th century.

The legs are 35cm high. This model is available in two other heights, 56cm and 72.5cm.
